Nokia Announcement: 2 New Cell Phones To Be Launched Soon

Nokia is soon going to add two new phones in its kitty. I stumbled upon this blog and came across the announcement of the launch of new cell phones in India. Nokia, today, announced the launch of two new cell phones – N97 Mini and N900 in India. Each of the cell phone has its own impressive features. However, N900 seems to be a little more exciting.

Let’s see a bit about N97 -

Nokia N97 is a sleek looking and nicely designed cell phone. But that’s it. But on other things N97 doesn’t really score big. The keypad is not comfortable to use. The tiny keys can significantly slow down your speed of using it.

So that was N97 for you. But interestingly, N97 would be promoted more widely than N900. Why? That is something I do not know.

And now a quick peek into Nokia’s N900 -

This Nokia cell phone scores more than N97. Especially on the usability front. Unlike N97, the keypad is good and easy to use.

A common thing among both the phones is that the spacebar located on the right of the phones. When questioned about this to the senior design manager, Mr. Jonne Harju, he told that the study shows it is easier for one to use left thumb to press the spacebar key.

Clearly, N900 should be prefered over N97, but how good it will do in the market also depends on the pricing of it. The prices of both the cell phones have not been released. Also, Nokia promises to come out with many such interesting launches in 2010. And that all the releases are going to be different from each other. Hopefully Nokia stays on its words and we get to more many more nice, unique, with better functionality and, of course, reasonable cell phones.
